G.H.Q. was formed in 2005 in Yokohama, Japan.
The core members are long time partners and session musicians, A on vocals, Zeta on guitar, and Ariyan on bass, with the addition of Synji on drums and Yutaka on percussion and sound engineering.

In 2006, G.H.Q. was joined by a seasoned keyboardist Nobuhiko Shinohara, who was a member of Flower Travelling Band, a legendary Japanese band in the early 70s, and subsequently played with the likes of Jim Keltner (Plastic Ono Band), Buddy Miles (Band of Gypsys), Nigel Harrison (Blondie), Alan Merrill, Tetsu Yamauchi (Free, Faces), Morphine, Gota Yashiki, and many others from the domestic and international music scene.

With her charismatic voice, A seduces listeners into a spiritual journey through mellifluous and edgy guitar riffs, psychedelic Hammond sound, strong, dynamic bass lines and powerful and articulate rhythm section.

Currently G.H.Q. appears regularly at several clubs (capacity of approx. 100) in Yokohama and Tokyo area.

2005年、個性派セッションミュージシャンらが集まり、横浜で結成されたロックユニット。

驚愕の歌姫、リードヴォーカル／A （AH,高円寺百景,SOFT PUNK,ex Ra:IN )、サイケデリックギター／瀬田一行（Air Sculptures, The Massive 252569 Band )、ベース／Ariyan（Mt.Fuji Jazz Festival 2002）、ドラムス／Synji 、のハイポテンシャルなリズム体、を中心に、 2008年、Fuji Rockで復活を果たした伝説のバンド Flower Traveling Band から、キーボード／篠原信彦が参加。2009年9月、Bass Ariyan活動休止のため、石川シンジ参加。ジェネレーションを超えた実力派ミュージーシャン達が、ライブごとに入れ替わり加わり、予測不能かつ強烈なパフォーマンスを展開する。
